We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team based in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

Hunter Filling Systems specialise in the design and production of liquid & powder filling systems. Simple to operate, easy to clean and uncomplicated to maintain, Hunter Fillers provide fast and accurate bespoke filling solutions, for any packaging.

Primary Objectives

The Field Service Engineer’s role is to work closely with the Sales & Service Coordinator and Production Manager to ensure our customers’ service and spares requirements are managed in a timely and efficient manner.

Knowledge and Experience

• Servicing and assembling complex machines with a high degree of accuracy

• Pneumatic and PLC control systems; to assist with trouble shooting

 • Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast paced, highly demanding environment

• Confident making difficult decisions and solving complex problems

• Continuous improvement and risk mitigation

The key purpose of the Field Service Engineer role is to troubleshoot, maintain and repair Hunter Filling Machines, at both customer sites and at the HFS factory, and support factory processes as and when appropriate

Role Description

The Field Service Engineer, will be responsible for fully dismantling customer machines and looking for damage in all the parts, check the functioning of the machine and whether it is giving the desired output. They will replace any parts of the filling machine and associated equipment as required, so that normal operation is possible.

The Field Service Engineer will, review each machine after a specific period, so they can find fault and rectify it to avoid any major problems in the future. They have to be well versed with the user manual. They also need to have all the latest equipment that can be used to repair the machine.

The Field Service Engineer will complete a detailed service report on what work, parts and changes have been made and when the next time the machine is due to be serviced. They will order parts that need replacement in advance, so the work is not slowed down in the manufacturing unit.

When not performing service work, the Field Service Engineer will be expected to support the factory with fabrication, machining, and assembling duties as required.

You will need to be based in New Zealand and have NZ residency and/or a valid work permit, and an excellent command of the English language.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo Pre employment drug and alcohol screening.
